Dr. Nora Femenia’s

Nora Femenia, Ph.D. in Conflict Resolution, is
President & CEO of Creative Conflict Resolutions, an
international firm based in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, which provides conflict resolution
interventions and conflict resolutions skills
training at all levels, from inter-personal to
international disputes. Dr. Nora Femenia is
Associate Faculty at Florida International
University’s Labor Center, and past Associate
Faculty at the School for International Training, at
the Conflict Transformation Masters Program
She has also been invited to teach at the UOC in
Barcelona, Spain, and the Universidad Santa Maria in
Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is an active consultant for
several Chambers of Commerce and their
Mediation/Arbitration Services Department in
Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Spain and Mexico.
Prior to moving to the US to finish her conflict
resolution degree, Nora was a clinical psychoanalyst
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, dedicated to her private
practice. She has been known by her clients as a
creative and bright therapist, always finding new
angles and ways to understand and solve conflicts.
Her unusual approaches to life’s dilemmas has
allowed her to develop and offer a supportive, clear
and doable strategy model to grow out of the most
usual and unusual relational conflict traps. Her
model, named: “One Hour Conflict Map,” allowed her
clients to have a snapshot of their own situation
and to strategize ways of moving out of the conflict
entrapment and move forward to a better life. She
has continued in Florida, USA developing her skills
at online conflict coaching, by using different
methods: by phone, emails, videoconference and
webroom group presentation.
From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Femenia has
developed a wide membership group with Inter-Mediacion,
providing information and CR resources to a strong
group of LA professionals, first from her teaching
position at Nova Southeastern University, where from
she trained, in Spanish, numerous groups of lawyers
pursuing mediation as a new skill, and later by
organizing off campus trainings where they could get
the necessary training hours to be certified as
mediators in their own countries. She has also
delivered coaching in conflict resolution and
mediation interventions for diverse organizations in
the US and abroad. She now continues teaching online
mediation and conflict resolution courses to
international students in Spanish, from

She has a B. A in Social Psychology completed in
Argentina, a Masters in Social Sciences by FLACSO,
and finished her post graduate, Ph.D. level studies
at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public
Affairs, Program on the Analysis and Resolution of
Conflicts, of Syracuse University, NY. While doing
her dissertation work in Washington DC, she was
granted a Peace Scholarship from the United States
Institute of Peace, where she received additional
training in international conflict resolution
interventions by working with field leaders.
Dr. Femenia is a member of the Association of
Conflict Resolution (ACR), where she has been
selected to several leadership roles, as ACR
Diversity and Equity Network member, and
Organizational Conflict Management Board of
Directors member.
